In 2014 we gave 10,000 soap bars to the Ebola relief efforts through Direct Relief. Following the Ebola outbreak, people in rural and urban communities alike were unable to afford the simplest and best defense against the virus: soap. We provided these bars to Direct Relief so that the NGO could ensure that access to soap was not a factor in contracting the deadly disease.

Thanks to generous material and financial contributions from individuals, pharmaceutical companies, and medical equipment manufacturers, Direct Relief can work with healthcare professionals and organizations on the ground and provide them with the essential medical supplies and equipment that they need to help people recover from a disaster.
